COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Our Community Programs offer services to individuals and families across the Pittsburgh area.
You do not need to be a current CHS client to be eligible for these services.

CHS’ Food Pantry aims to eliminate food insecurity in Allegheny County by distributing food to people in need. Weekly, we provide individuals and families with fresh fruits and vegetables, non-perishable food items, access to dairy products, and a choice of meat or fish. Pet food, hygiene, and cleaning items are distributed when available.  Halal meats are available.

The Food Pantry is fully dependent on outside volunteers. We offer a unique experience, allowing participants to ‘shop’ for themselves and choose the items they want to take home.
