As Winter approaches, we are in great need of items for folks who live on the streets. Now and throughout the cold weather months, we are collecting donations of new items at our main office at 2525 Liberty Avenue in the Strip District.

Each year, youth from the Sarah Heinz House conduct the Campaign for Others, a fundraiser to raise awareness and money for local people in need. This year, we're thrilled to announce that the youth at Sarah Heinz House selected Operation Save a Life, our street outreach program.

Come join the CHS' Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon team for a fundraiser that directly supports our Food Pantry. Pittsburgh is ranked #1 in cities it's size for Food Insecurity, and the CHS Food Pantry helps to alleviate this issue as the busiest pantry in the area. Help our team reach our goal of raising $7,500 by May 5!
During Happy Hour (5-7PM), Franktuary will donate 10% of revenue from all tabs open for both food and drink. All are welcome!
Last week, U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle joined Mayor Peduto, State Senator Wayne Fontana, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, PNC Bank, ACTION-Housing, Community Human Services and other community leaders for a celebration of the many partners who have helped to revitalize Wood Street Commons, ending with a ceremony to present a $500,000 Affordable Housing Program grant to continue the work.
