As temperatures outside continue to drop, we ask that you support our programming by purchasing winter essentials for our clients. Warm hats and gloves, handwarmers, lip moisterizer, and thick socks are items quickly exhausted in our winter and emergency shelters. To protect individuals and families experiencing homelessness, these items provide comfort and security against the bitter cold.
Shelter beds have already began filling up, and the increase in positiveOVID-19 cases throughout Allegheny County has created additional barrier for vulnerable individuals and families. Unable to afford rent to maintain safe, stable housing, the consquences of cold weather is a dangerous reality faced by more people this year than ever before. Please help us provide resources to lessen the burden as the holidays near.
